About Dawn Sharman

Dawn has a long and rich professional history involving treating patients with Massage and Manual Osteopathic Therapies as well as educating in both these fields.

Dawn started her Massage Therapy practice in 1999 and launched her career by:
  • Opening a private practice
  • Providing 3 day continuing educational courses on Labour and Pregnancy massage therapy throughout BC and Alberta
  • Teaching Hydrotherapy and Pregnancy massage therapy at the Okanagan valley College of Massage Therapy (OVCMT)
  • Supervising Special Needs and Maternity Outreach clinics at OVCMT

In 2014 Dawn was living in Edmonton with her family and became the Executive Director of the Alberta College of massage Therapy and the Manual Osteopathic College of Canada.

During this time Dawn also became a Surveyor with the Canadian Massage Therapy Council for Accreditation (CMTCA) and over the last 3 years Dawn has also led the role with the Canadian Massage and Manual Osteopathic Therapists Association (CMMOTA) of Director of the School Approval System (SAS).

Dawn is a member of good standing with CMMOTA and the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia (CMTBC).
